Fresh Seared Tuna in Soy Sauce

I LOVE TUNA!! :) Not completely raw, but I do love it seared. This is a very tasty way to cook a tuna steak. Costs about 12$ to make.

1 Tuna Steak
Soy Sauce
Chopped Scallions (aka Green Onions)

1. Marinate the Tuna for about an hour in the refridge. Use a Tupperware filled with soy sauce (fill just enough to cover the bottom of your container and flip the tuna after about 30 minutes to get both sides saturated) - Place chopped scallions in the soy sauce as well to get them marinate. Add a bit of salt and pepper.

Cook the tuna on medium-high for about 2 minutes on each side - this will leave the tuna with a nice amount of pink on the inside. Place some of the scallions on top and ready to serve! The soy sauce may leave the tuna looking "burnt" but it gives it a great taste!

*note: The dark red parts often found on tuna are perfectly healthy - they just have a much stronger fish taste. I choose to cut them off once it's cooked!

I chose to serve with my homemade fried rice recipe which is: here
