Soy Sauce & Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon

Salmon is definitely one of my favorite fish. Unfortunately, my boyfriend doesn't particularly like it so I do not get to make it as often as I prefer. Since he is busy tonight, I am sneaking it onto my menu :)
I usually do your typical teriyaki sauce, throw it in the oven for 15 mins and be done with it. Today, I'm going for something a little different.

Serves 2-4
Prep: 2 hours (Marinate in refrigerator)
Cook time: 15 minutes (on BBQ)

You will need:
1 1/2 lb Salmon (I like Wild!)
Salt, to taste
Garlic Powder, to taste
Lemon Pepper, to taste
1/3 cup soy sauce, low sodium
1/3 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup Vegetable oil

1. Season your salmon with salt, lemon pepper and garlic powder.

2. In a medium bowl, mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, water and oil. Mix well until sugar is dissolved.

3. In a zip lock bag, or marinade tray, place salmon in mixture and marinate in refrigerator for 2 hours (or more).

4. Prep grill, get to medium heat. To avoid sticking, spray or oil the grate of the BBQ. Grill salmon 6-8 minutes on each side. I used a fish basket that they make for the BBQ. It worked well!
